I booked Amy from Hair Artistry by Amy for my June wedding. I set up a trial with her about 4 months before my wedding and she came right to my house. There were a few things that I wanted to change after reviewing the pictures so we set up a second trial. Amy was so receptive of the new style I wanted the second time and really understood what I liked and what I was unsure about from the 1st trial. When the day finally came, Amy came to the hotel venue and was right on time. I had 5 girls get their hair done plus me and she did everyone herself. What was so important to me was that my hair style would stay in all day and night. I got my hair done at 11am on my wedding day and it was still flawless at 2am at the after

party! Thank you Amy for your amazing work! I cannot wait to recommend you to everyone I know!

I have only positive things to say about Amy. She is professional and an OUTSTANDING stylist. She was creative, focused and even made our hair shore proof! My wedding was on the bay and was super windy yet my hair was stunning even after the reception was over. I was receiving compliments the whole night. As the bride, I was extremely critical on everything. I picked Amy because her photo gallery was not photoshopped. You get what you see, quality and perfection. I would recommend Amy one hundred times over!

Amy was great! I had 5 bridesmaids, a flower girl, 2 moms, and myself getting hair done the morning of my wedding. She was able to finish everyone within 5 hours and everyone's hair looked perfect! I changed my hair style slightly from what we did during my trial and it came out perfect. I couldn't have imagined better hair for my wedding..it was exactly what I wanted. Amy's prices are extremely reasonable and shes very responsive and accommodating. I am so happy I found Amy to do my hair and my bridal party of my wedding. Thanks again!!

Amy was so fabulous and did such an amazing job on my wedding updo. I changed things on her last minute but she was able to do exactly what I was hoping for and I received so many compliments on my hair from my guests. I can't stress enough what an amazing job Amy did for myself, my 4 bridesmaids, my mom, and my 2 sister in-laws ALL BY HERSELF. Amy has amazing style, taste, and makes you feel so relaxed even when their is complete wedding chaos. She is extremely reasonable in price but looking back I would have paid double. Her service, mannerisms, and understanding of what YOU actually want your hair style to look like is exceptional. She is not like some stylists where she is pushy about what she thinks is best at all. 

 

We first had a trial and on the wedding day, I asked for a combination of two hairstyles we did at my trial. When I saw myself, I couldn't believe how amazing my hair turned out. All of my friends didn't know exactly what they wanted but had ideas. Amy was able to work with them on the spot and again, everyone was amazed with their style.

I used Amy of Hair Artistry by Amy for my December 2012 wedding. From the time I first contacted Amy to the day of the wedding, the entire process was perfect. Amy is very friendly and is super talented and offers on-location hair styling. I decided to change the style of my updo after my trial since I wanted a different look and Amy was more than willing to do this and did not make me come in for a second trial. The day of the wedding she arrived right on time, was professionally dressed and was very nice to all of my girls and to my Mom and mother in law. Everyone's hair looked amazing and the designs lasted all day and night even after we went out in 50 mph wind for pictures on the boardwalk. I can't tell you how many compliments I received on how great my hair looked on my wedding day! 

 

Amy's prices are extremely reasonable and honestly I would expect to pay much more for the quality she delivers. I would not hesitate to recommend Amy to anyone looking for wedding or special event hair styling.

Amy was a perfect find for my wedding hair stylist. I planned my NJ wedding while living in FL, and after reading other reviews on The Knot I decided to contact her. She is super sweet and very accomodating. She not only gave me a great updo, but made my bridal party look amazing. Amy did an amazing job on my hair for my wedding on 9/21/12. She came to my hotel the day of the wedding to do my and my five bridesmaids' hair. Even though some of my bridesmaids didn't know how they wanted to have their hair styled, Amy was able to work with all of the girls to figure out what styles would work best. She responded to all my communications very quickly and arrived at the hotel on time. She is very dependable, talented and affordable. All of our hairstyles lasted all day (over 12 hours). I would highly recommend Hair Artistry by Amy to brides in the South Jersey area.

Amy was wonderful to work with and I'm so glad I found her! I knew from the moment we set up a hair trial in which she was willing to travel all the way to my house, that she was extremely flexible to work with. She came and looked at the photos of styles that I liked and instantly molded all of my ideas together to make the perfect hair creation! She was great to work with, was extremely professional and was always there for all of my (or my bridesmaids' questions)! She did an amazing job on the day of. My mom, bridal party, and I all LOVED our hairstyles!! Everyone looked gorgeous thanks to Amy's hard work! Amy is so talented and calm. she is there to listen to you and will not judge. I went to a trial and I knew that even if I wasn't 100% sure of what I wanted, she will make me look gorgeous. and she did. I couldn't be happier with my hair and can't wait to have more events to work with her. My bridesmaid were all very happy with her as well. AND, she is super affordable. Amy was fantastic! She came to the rescue after a horrible situation, days before my wedding. She did an amazing job with not only my hair, but all of my bridesmaids as well. I used Amy for my March 2012 wedding and could not have been more pleased with the results. Amy came to my house for both my trail and to do my hair and the bridal party’s hair on the day of the wedding. After listening to what I had envisioned for my hair on my wedding day and showing Amy a few pictures she was able to create a perfect up-do for me. She also took some pictures so I could see what I would look like and make any tweaks. On the day of the wedding Amy did an amazing job on my hair! It stayed in place from when I got it done at 10 a.m. until I finally got home at 1 a.m. the next morning. Even in my after party photos I still looked great! Amy also styled seven of my bridesmaids’ on the day of the wedding. She made each girl feel comfortable and let them pick whatever style they wanted for the day. Amy also worked in a hair clip I had purchased for the bridesmaids into each girl’s hairstyle. She even styled our eight-year-old junior bridesmaid who had a great time with Amy and loved her hair. Amy was responsive and extremely nice throughout the whole process. For onsite hairstyling her prices we incredibly reasonable and her styles are just as good if not better than what you would get at a salon. I would highly recommend Amy to anyone who was looking for a hairstylist for their wedding day.

Amy was great and so convenient! I got married at the beach. She came to my venue did my hair for my bridesmaids, flower girl, and myself. She did a wonderful job! I was so pleased and happy with the results (I posted some pictures on her facebook page). My hairstyle lasted through the beach wedding until the reception. My daughter wants her to do her hair for prom. I got so many compliments on the wedding party's hair. I will definitely be calling back when I need to get my hair styled for a special event!

In my search for a hair stylist for my wedding, I learned that my logistics were a bit challenging. I wanted a hairstylist to come on site (more calming for me), but we did not have a wedding party, so the stylist would be coming out just for me. From our first correspondence, though, Amy was so supportive of finding a solution that would work for us both, and with the wedding stresses, that was such a refreshing thing to hear!

 

Amy came to my house for the trial and I knew immediately from her relaxed demeanor that it would go well. I'm someone who rarely wears make-up, and wanted to be sure I wasn't over-done. We talked through the options and she was very sensitive to what I wanted to get out of the hairstyle, while also providing recommendations on what would work well on me.

 

For the wedding day, Amy was prompt and again, very calming and flexible to do what would work well for me. 

 

Ultimately, I loved my hair. It looked great. It felt great, and stayed well. Granted I was the bride, so people were bound to compliment, but over and over again, guests praised my hair and asked for details on Amy.

 

I highly recommend Amy for your wedding, or other events.
